Yassan and Motoi Ishikawa (representative of Hokuriku GPS Art Club) will be in charge of the city promotion “Walk, Run and Draw Glasses in Your Town” in Sabae City, Fukui Prefecture.

A GPS art contest to draw “glasses” will be held from the end of May to the end of November. A GPS Art Walking event will be held in Sabae City on Saturday, May 25, as a kick-off event.

GPS Art was selected to promote the “City of Glasses, Sabae” throughout Japan.
GPS art is increasingly being used as a means of city promotion. Even a familiar neighborhood can look different if you walk from one place to another. We hope that you will try GPS art as a tool for rediscovering your hometown.

Walk, Run, and Draw Glasses in Your Town! Contest

Sabae City plans to hold a GPS art contest “Walk, Run, Draw Glasses in Your City” from the end of May to the end of November, with the aim of further promoting “Sabae, the City of Glasses” throughout Japan.
　
As a kick-off event for the contest, a walking event (reservation required) will be held to create a GPS artwork in the shape of a pair of glasses.
