YASSAN was born in Saitama Prefecture, Japan in 1977.
He graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts (Inter Media Art Course) in 2004.
He is interested in geo-located media, and as he began GPS Drawing, his first work was authorized by Guinness World Records (as “the Largest GPS Drawing”).
His work has been showcased on televison, in magazines, and over 3,000 news and web publications worldwide.

Here’s his story spans more than a decade.
EVERYTHINGS STARTED FROM PROPOSE.
In 2008, he quit his job and started a journey with GPS on his 31st birthday. He spent 6 months traveling across the Japanese islands to make the world’s largest proposal to his girlfriend. It was his the first GPS art.
The first work is authorized as “Largest GPS Drawing by Individual” by Guinness World Records.
And his actual largest work is 60794.07km (PEACE on Earth) unofficially.

Later, he became fascinated by GPS art and started drawing all over the world.
As a pioneer in the GPS art world, he has achieved many world firsts and largest achievements.
Currently, he is active as a professional GPS artist.
