Technical Supervision: NHK Educational TV “Take-Tech 2.0”

I am pleased to announce that I provided technical advice and supervision for the “GPS” episode of the NHK E-tele educational program “Take-Tech 2.0,” which aired on March 23, 2026.

■ About the Program and My Contribution

“Take-Tech 2.0” is a program that explores the mechanisms of everyday technology in an engaging way. This episode focused on GPS (Global Positioning System)—explaining how multiple satellites determine our location and how this technology powers modern navigation and map applications.

In this episode, the protagonist takes on the challenge of creating GPS art. I served as a technical supervisor, providing guidance on the drawing process and offering advice on how to use GPS characteristics to create large-scale digital art on the ground.

It was a wonderful opportunity to show how invisible satellite technology can be transformed into a tool for creative expression. I hope the program inspires young viewers to see technology not just as a utility, but as a canvas for their imagination.
